To connect with more GBLA collectors — the principal source of information for the GBLA Encyclopaedia and Stamp Catalogue — I occasionally list selected GBLA items on eBay. The stamps come from the collection of Captain Benda.
These eBay sales of GBLA items also serve as a useful price reference. Naturally, collectors who are already in touch with me, do not buy my items on eBay, so they are usually left "unsold". In the article about GBLA values and prices you can see several results. Just note they are mostly from 2021, so several years old.
The listed items are my duplicates, so whether or not they sell on eBay, I can usually provide similar examples directly. Simply contact me by email before buying on eBay. In fact, you may even obtain them at a lower cost by splitting eBay’s fees. The only requirement is that you can either arrange a bank transfer or propose an acceptable swap.
As of September 2025, I have the following items available for at least one direct deal:
A special offer for top GBLA collectors who have purchased the Catalogue: a set of five covers, each with a different stamp of Captain Benda. Three stamps are "normal", two are error with displaced symbols for Egypt, Israel and/or UN. Price 500 GBP/set. Probably only 3 sets existing, so a GBLA rarity.
Note: Catalogue values shown are from the 2020 edition. If you own the Catalogue, you know that values today are more than 30% higher...
Also other rarities are available, unfortunately only once. Here is an example, offered on eBay to attract attention.
